St.Vincent’s Support

St. Vincent’s Centre has been operating in Cork City since 1991. Our mission statement from day one has been to provide the best care possible in a supportive and inclusive environment.

We provide full time female only residential accommodation to those who have  special needs ranging from mild to moderate levels of intellectual disability

St. Vincent’s is a sixty-bed Residential facility. The Centre provides an opportunity for each individual to develop to their full potential in a loving, caring and supportive environment. Training is provided on:

  • Daily living
  • Social skills
  • Occupational Skills
  • Vocational skills

One of our priorities is to develop on-going links with the community to enhance the lives of those in our care by:

  • Integrating them into community groups and activities
  • Promoting independence and self esteem
  • Raising the level of awareness of learning disability in the local community
  • Encouraging involvement from the local community

This has been St Vincent’s guiding ethos since day one, and this is reflected in the level of personal care and attention that we can provide to all of our residents regardless of their age, creed, religion or level of disability.
